hello all im migrating from my shared server to my own windows server from 1 and 1. I know nothing about dedicated servers and my developer wants 200 to migrate my 2 sites from my shared to the new dedicated. Can i do this on my own with limited experience? Is this a simple task or is it involved? How do i upload my files through ftp? thanks in advance Single-Core S * Athlon 3500+ * 2.2 GHz * 1 GB RAM * 2 x 120 GB Software-RAID

Mike, Firstly you need to get a FTP client. There are several to choose from. CuteFTP is a great product for about $50, or you can go with FileZilla which is free. FTP needs to be enabled on the new server first though. Essentially you are going to RDP into the server to configure FTP and IIS. Then FTP your new files to the server.
