Do you think its ok to go with a reseller, or should you go straight to the source and pay a bit more money buying direct from the provider.  What are the issues associated with resellers?

It depends on your budget. I'd go for a reseller right now, as I don't have that much money.

I honestly do not understand why they are so much cheaper...  Is it because they have less staff?

Isn't it that resellers will be more expensive?

LOL - now I am REALLY confused!  I always thought they were a bit cheaper...

If a reseller was doing it for profit, they would have to get it directly from a source for cheaper, maybe they worked out some deal. So in order for a reseller to make money, they would have to sell it cheaper. I wish I knew what their source was, so I could be a reseller.

I think there are affiliate sites that give you a cut of selling hosting to customers.  I know I have seen a few on CJ before.

I myself would go straight to the provider. I think you get better service that way.

It depends.  You have to make sure the reseller is reputable, and I'd check to see if they offered any kind of guarantee/warranty.  Resellers aren't always cheaper.  They're just affiliates of a sort.

Is there any way to tell who is a reseller of what product?  A listing of what companies are affiliated with one another?

I'd go with a reseller because I'm short on cash right now, but I think going to a provider is the better choice.
