I am only a Linux person myself, but I was wondering how the prices of a Linux box vs. a Windows box compare - is one a better price than the other?

Most times Linux is a little cheaper because there is no license cost. But remember, you get what you pay for

Dear Mr. Skinny, I see you are a windows man.  With all due respect sir, Windows sucks and real Geeks are Open Source.  I bet Bill Gates is a closet Linux lover

LOL - I think we should ask Mr. Gates about his secret Linux Love the next time he has an event

I never really looked into Linux. I guess you can say I was brought up with Windows and was never really told about Linux. What makes Linux better than Windows?

I too don't know too much about Linux.

Okay, do you know when you update windows and/or install an application 9 times out of 10 you have to restart? Well with linux you don't have to do that unless it is a kernal upgrade. Also linux uses less resources and many more tools you can use.

in prices, just as your topic says, linux is way better, that's because you don't have to pay for its licenses and if you want an un}pdate, it's free, for widnows just wont, so, in a long term, what wolud you think could be cheaper?
