Are there any advantages for using Windows instead of Linux?or is Linux a better choice?I've been told Linux is so much better.

Well I am biased, I would say linux is much better because of the condensed kernel and the fact that it is open-source (unlike the monopoly we all refer to as Windows).  I also prefer to work with a command line, which is why I find Linux to be more preferable.

Let me jump on the opposite side of that conversation. Windows has quite a few advantages one being support and documentation that a lot of open source OS do not have. Windows is a lot eaiser to configure and manage over a command line which requires you to remember a ton of commands.

I agree windows dedicated server is easier and better.

Hi !

I like this question very much, as this debate is never going to end whether Linux is better or Windows.
I have windows at home-pc but Linux at work.
There is a very easy explanation to that.
Since, i use my home pc only for movies, games,recreation and fun i have installed windows.
But the real work is done only on Linux pc at work.
