I currently sell on Ebay and am thinking about starting my own website. What is the best hosting company for this kind of site?

I think a lot of hosting companies these days are pretty much one and the same, but with regard to the type of server you will need, it is just going to depend on how much traffic you anticipate each day.  If you think you will have less than 10,000 or so you could get away with a shared server, any more than that, with a lot of product, and you may want to go dedicated.

Mandies is right.  I don't even know that you need a dedicated server unless your product is going to be a really high volume one.

I think I am going to go the shared server route and see how it goes. I am wanting to do something seperate from ebay and see how it goes so that would be a good way to start! Thanks alot.

I use amazon, because it has everything, but ebay is cool too
