Not an expert, so question might sound silly. The question would be: is a lan server (or router) in a firm able to see, trace, store and log IP addresses you visited on an external and private computer? To rephrase: if one of my employees connects an external computer (private one, brought from home, where software of the company computers are not installed)to the lan, is the traffic supposed to pass through the company server and be consequently traced and stored for the administrator to see? Thanks you.

That wouldn't surprise me, because I'm italian. Were it not for the fact that I got a Proficiency Level certificate from the Manchester University 3 years ago. Just go somewhere else and leave place to someone who can grasp some meaning from a simple question and answer accordingly.

yes. if you are assigning his computer the IP/he is connecting to the internet through your company you would be able to log the activity from that IP
